HIV and STI Testing - Do I Need to Get Tested?

We offer testing for: Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, Syphilis, HIV and Herpes (only available when symptoms are present.) For persons meeting criteria or at risk, Hepatitis C screening test is also available.
We offer treatment for chlamydia, gonorrhea, syphilis, herpes, trichomoniasis and bacterial vaginosis.
CDC recommends that everyone between the ages of 13 and 64 get tested for HIV at least once in their lifetime. For people with certain risk factors, CDC recommends getting tested at least once a year. CDC recommends testing at least once a year for syphilis, chlamydia, and gonorrhea. Those who have multiple or anonymous partners should be tested more frequently (e.g., every 3 to 6 months).
What is PrEP?
PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is medicine that reduces your chances of getting HIV from sex or injection drug use. When taken as prescribed, PrEP is highly effective for preventing HIV.

How do I take PrEP?
PrEP is available as a pill and an injectable. When speaking to your healthcare provider, we recommend asking about the benefits of both to decide which is right for you!

While everyone can experience medications differently, PrEP has a strong track record of people experiencing little to no side effects and is extremely safe. Your healthcare provider will monitor you every step of the way and always be around to answer any questions you have.

PrEP - PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) is a medication that can be taken to prevent someone from getting HIV. Our PrEP coordinator is ready to assist in linking persons to a PrEP.

MPOX: What You Should Know
How it Spreads
MPOX is not a sexually transmitted disease. MPX is usually spread through skin to skin contact, including sex, but can also spread through hugging, kissing, cuddling and sharing bedding or clothing. The main way it is currently spreading is through direct contact with a rash or sore on someone with MPX.
If you have sex or close physical contact with many people you have a higher chance of getting MPX.
Staying Safe
To reduce the chance of getting and spreading MPX:
Get vaccinated
Limit number of sex partners
Talk to your partner about new or unexplained sores, rashes or other MPX symptoms
Wash hands, fetish gear, sex toys and any fabrics after sex
CDC suggestions for safer sex and social gatherings
Call your provider if you suspect MPX or have questions.

MPOX (formerly known as monkeypox)
MPOX is caused by a virus that is related to the virus that causes smallpox. JYNNEOS is a 2-dose vaccine developed to protect against mpox and smallpox infections. People need to get both doses of the vaccine for the best protection against mpox. The second dose should be given 4 weeks after the first dose.
